Cold room is used to store materials between 2° C to 8°C. Such cold rooms are for the appropriate storage of temperature controlled pharmaceutical products, which exposure to high temperature conditions may affect its quality in terms of appearance (color), consistency, potency and impurity levels. There are four cold rooms in the Yetichem group which are continuously monitored for temperature via the Smart Logger System. The installed system automatically detects the excursion or fluctuation in temperature via RTD sensors and alert alarm is generated, along with SMS for the alarms also transmitted to the concerned personnel (QA Officer). Thus immediate measures can be taken to rectify the problem. Mapping of cold/cool room and validation and calibration of sensors and smart logger systems, equipments are done on yearly basis by qualified experts to ensure proper functioning of the devices with high efficiency.

Temperature controlled Cool rooms (8°C – 25°C)
Cool room is used to store materials between 8°C to 25°C. Cool rooms are for the appropriate storage of pharmaceutical products, which exposure to high temperature conditions may affect its quality in terms of appearance (color), consistency, potency, and impurity levels. Yetichem group has two cool rooms for storage of cool chain product and two cool rooms for packing cold chain product. These cool rooms are also monitored by Smart Logger System. with the same excursion management system as of Cold rooms.
Ambient storage area (up to 30°C)
Yetichem ware house has adequate Ambient Storage rooms to store medicines at temperature below 30°C. Altogether there are 15 ambient storage rooms in Yetichem group’s warehouse. Specific ambient rooms are allocated for respective companies to prevent product mix-up. Products are stored on the pallets with proper stacking, preventing from direct heat and sun light. Window panes of the ware house are with sun sticker to protect from sunlight and heat.
Smart Data Logger System
The temperature in temperature controlled area is continuously monitored by the Smart Data Logger System. This system takes reading for the Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) at a regular interval and it automatically detects the fluctuation in temperature, for which it generated alert alarm, along with SMS for the alarm are transmitted to the concerned personnel (QA Officer). This prompts immediate action to rectify the problem. This system also generates and sends a daily warehouse alarm mail to concerned personnel containing the details of the alarm.
The validation and calibration of sensors and smart logger system equipments are performed on yearly basis by qualified experts to ensure proper functioning of the devices with high efficiency.
Deep freezers
Deep freezers are used for freezing the ice packs, used for packing of cold chain products. There are 5 deep freezers installed in Yetichem to store the ice packs. Such ice packs are appropriate to conserve the specified temperature of the consignment required for transit to the destination.
Transportations (Transport of temperature controlled medicines)
Yetichem has adequate number of transport vehicle for delivery of the medicines. The products are transported maintaining their storage conditions. Qualified thermocol boxes and coolants are used for packing of cold chain products for transportation. Yetichem use portable dataloggers, which is used to monitor the temperature of the product during transit. In addition, Yetichem has temperature controlled cold chain van for transportation of temperature controlled products.
Power backup
In Yetichem we have two automatic generator and UPS system for power backup. In case of power failure generators is started automatically within 30 seconds of outage. Computer system are backed up by UPS system.
